Visiting 作家 Series

Nebraska Wesleyan University's Visiting 作家 Series brings prominent national 和 international writers to campus. In addition to giving public readings, our visiting writers meet with students to discuss the craft of writing. The mission of this series remains the promotion of literary experiences with contemporary writers meant to enliven 和 to educate young writers here at NWU.

All readings are free 和 open to the public.

Michael Walsh is an independent scholar, creative writing instructor 和 writer. Walsh received a B.A. degree in Creative Writing from Knox College in Galesburg, Ill. 和M.F.A. degree in Creative 和 Professional Writing from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. He serves as the editor of Queer Nature, the first ecoqueer poetry anthology. Walsh's poetry books include The Dirt Riddles (University of Arkansas Press) 和 蠕变的爱 (Autumn House Press) as well as two chapbooks, Adam Walking the Garden 和 梦游的 (Red Dragonfly Press). His awards include a Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowship in Poetry, a Jerome Foundation Emerging Artist Fellowship, The Miller Williams Prize in Poetry, 和 The Publishing Triangle’s Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry.
